Zipper Gift Wrap Experiment

Okay, so I've had this quirky idea floating around in my noggin that I could make gift wrap out of brown paper and a zipper. I wanted the zipper to be the opening. So, I sat down today and in 30 minutes had this done. Of course, it's not perfect as you can see! It's the first one, but I'm so giddy that it worked!!! Hee! Hee! Hee!

It's great for wrapping a book or something small and flat. In this case, the package holds some vintage Workbasket magazines, zipper and needles. I'm sure you can figure out how I did it by the pictures. Just some embroidery thread, needle, brown paper and a vintage zipper that I purchased at a thrift shop.

HA! It works!
