The Needle

Every year, the Space Needle in Seattle gets decorated for the holidays. It's the same in my house. Ohhh..... that little glitter ball fits just perfectly on top now doesn't it?

I'd guess this is a collector's item. I found it at St. V's about 5 years ago for a couple of bucks. It's from the 1962 World's Fair and it's supposed to have a lighter on the top. I still haven't been able to find one of those old round lighters to fit it, but it doesn't matter. I love it and right now it's sitting on my kitchen table. You could also use it as a weapon 'cause it's heavy and could do some major damage!

If you're ever in Seattle, make the Space Needle one of your stops. It's pretty cool.

Thanks to everyone who entered yesterday's Crafty Christmas Karma. I'll be giving another Sparkle tag away next Tuesday, so if you didn't win today try again next week.

Oh yeah, the winner is.........

Debbie in Minnesota!

That space needle is way cool. I have an Eiffel tower and the Chrysler building.

I've only been to Seattle once - but the first thing I wanted to see was the Space Needle.

I was instantly smitten - I love the thing, and even get stupidly excited when I catch a glimpse of it in movie/tv backgrounds (like "Grey's Anatomy"...)

Your SN is *wonderful*, you lucky girl! The rest of us just have to settle for being a "friend" to "SpaceNeedle" over at Flickr...
