I had an appointment in Seattle yesterday and decided to stop off at a thrift store I accidentally stumbled upon. This is a lamp for a baby girl's room. It needed a good cleaning but the lamp works and get this...
It has a little antique key which winds a music box and plays "Rock a bye baby" while the crib rocks back and forth.
It's the sweetest sounding music box ever! The paint is chipped on the base but that's what adds to the charm. I just can't imagine why anyone would give this away.
Just look at her face! I adore this and it's going to reside on my nightstand next to my bed as soon as I find a shade for it.
I also found a brand new heart shaped Le Creuset casserole pan just like this one, but I paid only $12 for mine. I figured it'd probably be the only time I'll ever own a Le Creuset so I snatched it up!
Add in a collection of albums from the 50's and 60's in perfect condition and I'd say it was a really good day of thrifting!

Aren't you the clever thrifter! I stumbled across your blog this morning and am having a great visit as I sip my Earl Grey tea. Love the heart-shaped casserole -- maybe you can bake some heart-shaped no-knead bread in it. Cheers!
This is super cute! What a lucky find!
I love this! You sure did score. It's so darling and sweet. Perfect for a little girls room. I would like it in my room :) I'm a little girl at heart.
