Ground Zero

This past April, I took Levi to Washington DC and NYC for his Spring Break trip and probably the last trip he'll ever take with his mom alone. Not only did he demand on seeing the Marine Corps Museum in DC, but he also insisted on visiting Ground Zero and paying his respects while we were in New York.

He was only 11 years old on September 11th, but it impacted him so much that he was even more determined to become a soldier.

Now, 7 years later, he graduates from Marine boot camp in San Diego. I wonder what he's thinking about today. I wonder what the future holds in store for him. I wonder what the future holds in store for our country.

I love and miss you Levi and I can't wait to see you!
