DIY Plant Markers

I'm sure someone has thought of this before, but last night as I was cleaning out my old cheap silverware and replacing with some vintage silverplated stuff I purchased recently, I had this idea for using the cheap ones as plant markers.

I used metal dye/tap letters, a hammer and some silver/black solution to bring out the letters. You could also use a thin sharpie pen for the lettering. I think they're pretty cool and a great way to reuse thrifted or odds and ends in your silverware drawer! They'd be even cooler if they were rusty!!
