Espana-- Ole'!!

These cute little souvenirs are from Spain. They're only a couple of inches high and I just love the expressions painted on each one. I purchased them when I was in Spain, a long time ago. Until last week, they were stored away. I was finally able to hang my vintage letterpress box and I think they're a perfect fit.

You can find them all over Spain. They're inexpensive but it was hard to chose from the hundreds available. I think they'd be adorable as embroidered dolls.

I love them!! My husband is from Spain so we go there about once a year. I'll have to look for them next time. What type of stores did you find them in?

p.s. Thank you for my guilty pleasure! I read your diary when I need a pick-me-up or just a little entertainment. I'm not very crafty, but I appreciate the wonderful things that creative people like you can do. :-)

You should be able to find the little dolls at virtually every souvenir shop in Spain. Usually the tacky tourist places have them. The box I have says "Artesania" on it and I can't remember if it was the name of the store or not.

I'm envious that you get to go to Spain every year!!! We really enjoyed Madrid (made some friends there) and Marbella.
