It all started a coupla years ago when I was in St. V's and spied this vintage fabric calendar. I have some friends in Australia and thought I could make something with it. 
Well, it certainly sparked an interest in me because I started seeing more beautiful vintage linen calendars and began collecting them. I had no idea what I was going to do all of them, but I couldn't let them go for just a quarter.I discovered the calendars made before 1980 are printed on linen and everything after 1980 is cotton. But, that's okay. Some of them are pretty cute. I think my stash is now at about fifteen.
These certainly aren't bags that are going to make a fashion statement of any sort, but I think they'd be cute for the market or as a book bag. Really now, how can you not smile at this? 1972!!
Yes, I plan on having a good day today. WHY? 'Cause I get to see our new puppy! We first thought we were going to get a boy. There were three boys and one girl in the litter. The owner was going to keep the girl because she wanted to breed her in the future. I was a bit bummed because I had my heart set on a girl, but yesterday she called and said she couldn't raise it right now because she was moving to a smaller house and wanted to know if we'd co-own it with her so she'd be able to breed the sweet girl in the future. Of course I said YES!!! Her eyes are now open and she'll be ready to come home with us after Thanksgiving. I've already got a name picked out for her but you'll have to wait to find out what it is. I'm making doggy announcements and will post her picture here when she's finally home.
