Notions and a New Product!

It's been rainy and gloomy around here for the past week and I'm having a hard time getting back into the blogging gig. Plus, I've been busy working on a couple of new projects that I hope to have ready by March 1st. One is a book! Can you believe it?!

I've been organizing the studio and my sewing area. I had a bunch of extra doll pins and decided they made great spools for my embroidery thread. I'm storing them in these glass canisters so I can see all of the colors. It's like reaching into a jar of candy! I did the same with a bunch of flowers I made, some vintage doilies and some buttons. And then there's all of my ribbon on wooden spools hanging on dowels from my shabby shelf. It's a huge BURST of color to brighten my studio!

Here's a sneak peek at my new product-- Doodle Tags! The graphic is a drawing of me done by my 3 year old niece Payton which will be used as the sticker on the tin that the tag arrives in.

Within the next month or so, you'll be able to upload a simple drawing or signature of your child's (or even your own!) to my Mommy Tag site. We'll stamp the drawing into the silver to make your own custom tag. And, as a bonus, you'll get to keep the stamp to use for thank you cards, customized notes or scrap booking! How great is that?!

I'm so excited!!!

Truly a brilliant idea.
Now, what's this about oa book?

It's a really good idea. Kathryn Albers (imprintonmyheart.com) does it,but hers are kind of pricey and I think she engraves them onto her pendants so the customer doesn't get to keep the stamp.

So many great things happening at your house! Your organization looks so tidy but pretty, too. And a new book is on the way? That is super exciting.

That sounds awesome. I love kids' art! I'm confused though. What do you mean we get to keep the stamp? Is it like a rubber stamp of the art? Could you show us a picture of an example of the stamp itself? That's my favorite part of your idea, but I just can't figure out how you would do that. Thanks for clarifying!!!!!
